Hugh Dane, who played Hank the Security Guard on ‘The Office,’ is dead at the age of 75

It was recently revealed that Hugh Dane (who played Hank the security guard on “The Office”) has died. News of the 75-year-old veteran actor was first published by the Los Angeles Inner City Cultural Center. The cause of death was not released.

Dane, although best known for his role in “The Office,” has been a Hollywood fixture for many years, appearing in movies such as “Bridesmaids” and series such as “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” and “Boy Meets World.”

After news of his death was announced, many of Dane’s colleagues, including Steve Carell and Rainn Wilson, shared their condolences on social media,

Wilson shared a funny clip, writing that Dane was “one of the greats:”

And Carell chimed in, writing that Dane was a “terrific guy:”
