Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith have been happily married since 1997, despite the dozens of break-up rumors that have swirled since they said “I do.” Pinkett Smith recently opened up about her marriage and why she and Will Smith will “never” get divorced — no matter what others say.

“Here’s the thing about Will and I — it’s like, we are family, that’s never going down! It’s just not! Ever!” the actress, said of the divorce rumors on the “Sway in the Morning” radio show. “Because we are family — take out all that whole marriage, relationship, crap — at the end of the day, Will and I are family, I’m going to hold him down.”

She went on to explain that her husband will always be able to count on her, just as he’s been able to for 20-plus years!

“It doesn’t matter, all that relationship and what people think, ideas of a husband and a partner and all that, man, whatever, at the end of the day, that’s a man that can rely on me for the rest of his life, period,” she said.

And her husband echoes these sentiments.

In an Instagram post commemorating their 20th wedding anniversary, he said he’d forever be there to help her stay true to herself.

“I’ve learned to take pleasure in Nourishing YOUR dreams… Rather than wrestling with you to Fulfill my Selfish Needs & Satiate My Insecurities,” he wrote. “I have learned that Love is Listening. Love is Giving. Love is Freedom. Happy Anniversary, My Queen! I am forever Devoted to Nurturing your Deepest Truth.”

In an effort to support her, Pinkett Smith says her husband will join her on an episode of “Red Table Talk,” a Facebook show hosted by Pinkett Smith along with her daughter and her mother, which just got renewed for 13 more episodes.

They’re going to discuss their relationship, which Pinkett Smith has described as “unique” on more than one occasion.

“We have a very, very, very, unique partnership, and it’s really great because when you get to a place where you can love someone and allow them to be exactly who they are and not have all of these expectations … I’ve learned to love him in the most pure way,” she said on NBC’s “Today.”

Tune in to “Red Table Talk” to find out even more about this incredible couple and their long-lasting relationship!
