James Van Der Beek and his wife Kimberly welcomed baby no. 5

Actor James Van Der Beek is a dad for the fifth time! He and his wife, Kimberly, welcomed their fifth child, a baby girl, on June 15 — meaning she arrived just in time for Father’s Day! How perfect!

The proud parents named their daughter Gwendolyn. She is welcomed into the family by three sisters and a brother. And while the Van Der Beeks have a large family, they wouldn’t have it any other way.

“Thrilled to announce we welcomed a brand new baby girl into the world Friday morning, just in time for #FathersDay,” the dad wrote on Instagram.

Shortly after announcing their baby’s birth, the proud mom also took to Instagram to talk about how complete she felt.

“Quite simply, I couldn’t ask for more,” she wrote in a sweet Father’s Day message to her husband.

And clearly, five kids later, James is still very much in awe of his wife, each and every time she becomes a mom to a new baby.

“You’re a f*cking earth goddess rock star and I’m as in awe of you as I am in love with you,” he included in his Instagram caption.

“I don’t now [sic] how she’s done it… but I don’t really have words. All I’ve got is: wow,” the husband wrote.

Kimberly chatted with The Playground about her favorite part of being a mom to her now five beautiful children.

“The love. The snuggles. Being surrounded by innocence. Getting to learn things like music and language again. Coloring in coloring books,” she said.

Her husband described his life as a father on NBC’s “Today”:

“It’s really rich, really crazy, really loud — and I love it,” he said.

Of course, baby Gwendolyn will only add to that love-filled, happy and loud life. Congratulations to the happy family!
