Jenna Dewan and Steve Kazee are expecting their first child

Actor and former “World of Dance” host Jenna Dewan and her boyfriend Steve Kazee are expecting their first baby together. Kazee is a first-time dad, while Dewan is mom to 6-year-old Everly, the daughter she shares with ex-husband Channing Tatum.

“We are beyond and overjoyed and couldn’t be happier to be expanding our family!” the couple told People in an exclusive statement.

Kazee, who is also an actor, has been linked with Dewan since October 2018.

“He’s a kind, good-hearted guy and Jenna feels so lucky to have found him,” a source told E! News of their relationship. “She feels very confident and secure with him. He makes her feels like the most important thing in the world and there’s never any doubt. They are very much in love.”

The two appear in each other’s Instagram photos often. Dewan posted this one of the two of them earlier this year and simply wrote, “Speaking of peace …”:

For Valentine’s Day 2019, Kazee (who is known for his role on the Showtime series “Shameless” and his Broadway performance in the Tony-winning “Once”) took to Instagram to express his love for Dewan:

“Somehow, inexplicably, I’ve been granted the honor to have this be the person that I get to be side by side with throughout this wild journey we call life,” he wrote beside a closeup photo of her face. “Jenna I don’t know what I did to deserve your love but I will always be so thankful that our lives found their way to each other. Here’s looking at you, kid. Happy Valentines Day my love.”

Although he’s yet to experience fatherhood in real life, he’s played a dad on TV and seems pretty excited to take on the role, judging by this snap he posted to Instagram:

“The best thing about being 42 is that I finally get to play dads on TV!” he wrote beside the adorable photo of himself cradling a baby on his shoulder. “This little nugget passed out while chewing on my shoulder and my heart exploded!”

For her part, Dewan has been open about how motherhood has changed her outlook on life.

“Whether you try to hide it or not, most actresses and actors have a certain sense of anxious desperation about what their next job is,” Dewan told Harper’s Bazaar in May 2018. “As soon as I had Everly, it went away. I had this freedom of, ‘Well, I could never work another day in my life, and I have a purpose.'”
