Jennifer Garner Shares What Breakfast Smoothie She Drinks Every Day
When Jennifer Garner signed on to star in a new action thriller, “Peppermint,” she knew the role was going to be physically demanding. She plays an “urban guerrilla” who “spends years in hiding honing her mind, body and spirit to become an unstoppable force” in order to get revenge on the people who killed her family.
The intense movie clearly required Garner to be in peak physical shape, so she turned to holistic nutritionist Kelly LeVeque to help her come up with a diet plan that would help her get strong and have lots of energy.
The health coach did not disappoint. As the celebrity mom-of-three explains on her Instagram page, LeVeque helped her create a diet that was rich in whole foods, colorful produce and healthy nutrients. Garner also revealed that she starts every morning with her nutrition coach’s breakfast smoothie, and she swears by it:

“Don’t be scared! It’s tastier than it looks! I started working with @bewellbykelly a few months ago to get ready for #PEPPERMINTmovie and have had her smoothie every day for breakfast since. Today, I decided to play scientist and see if my @onceuponafarm cold-pressed, organic purée (or baby food, if you’re a baby, but whatever) could be a substitute for fresh blueberries when I didn’t see any in the fridge. Yep, it could. 👏🏼👏🏼
#BeWELLSMOOTHIE recipe:
- 2 scoops @primalkitchenfoods collagen protein powder (hot tip: I prefer the Chocolate Coconut Collagen Fuel)
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon almond butter (if no one’s looking I use extra…😬)
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- Handful of fresh spinach
- Small handful of ice
- Very small handful of blueberries (please see almond butter. Also true here. 🤷🏻♀️
Mix all ingredients together in blender and enjoy.”
Okay, that recipe sounds delicious! I need to try that for myself. I may not be playing a “urban guerrilla” but as a mom of a three-year-old and a one-year-old, I could definitely use some of that energy!
Thanks for sharing your smoothie recipe, Jen!
