Pregnant Mama Jessica Alba Shares Sweet Gender Reveal On Instagram

Actress and Honest Company co-founder Jessica Alba took to Instagram on Oct. 25 to announce some exciting news: She and husband Cash Warren are expecting a baby boy! The couple are already parents to two daughters: Honor, 9, and Haven, 6.

Check out the adorable way the family learned the good news—which she shared in a Boomerang clip of herself and her daughters opening an Honest Company box with blue balloons and streamers inside!

The celebrity mom shared her thoughts on parenthood with Yahoo Parenting in 2015, which included her thoughts on how there’s no “right” way to be a mother. She said:

“I think the biggest thing is that what works for you, or what works for your friend, isn’t going to work for everyone. There is no right or wrong. I have two very different girls. And the way that I parent one is different than the way that I parent the other. … And I think we as women—and as moms—we need to show younger girls that we support each other no matter what.”

It will be exciting to see how adding a boy to the mix might further change her perspective on parenting!

Based on Alba’s Instagram, Honor and Haven are already accustomed to being around a large family. Alba’s feed has no shortage of pictures of her daughters with their grandparents, cousin and other extended family members.

As for the baby boy’s name, Jessica Alba said the family is sticking with the “H” theme.

“So my husband’s name is Cash, that’s his actual real name, so our kids had to have unusual names,” she said during an appearance on “The Tonight Show” in August. “For some reason, we chose H. It has to be a single or double syllable, has to be an H, and also has to be a word.”

Warren and Alba met on the set of “Fantastic Four” in 2004. They were married in 2008 and will celebrate 10 years together next May.

Alba founded The Honest Company in 2011 with the promise that its products don’t carry “health-compromising chemicals or compounds.” The company has recently had a change in leadership after facing a couple controversies surrounding ingredients and labeling—which resulted in the company’s valuation dropping from $1.7 billion to under $1 billion.
