Jessica Alba posts heartbreaking message after losing 2 dogs in 2 weeks

Jessica Alba and her family have recently lost two pets. She announced that her dog, Sid, had passed away on July 27, and on Aug. 7 she lost a second dog, Bowie.

The actress took to Instagram to pen sweet messages to her pets. Her message to Sid detailed just a few of the many special moments they shared together. Sid saw Alba through much of her career, and even made an appearance on screen with her in the movie “Honey.”

So, yeah, it’s safe to say that these two shared a special bond.

“Our sweet Sid passed this morning,” Alba wrote. “She lived a long life, eating everything she could sniff out, she was my OG Rolldog, made her feature film debut in Honey … She was the best friend a girl could ask for. We went through so much together my Sidders. RIP.”

The post came along with a series of photos of Alba and her children posing with the pug pup. Alba’s husband, Cash Warren, also posted to Instagram, remembering the 16 years he and the dog spent together.

“Sid, we already miss you like crazy. You were the best big sister our girls could have ever had. Thank you for giving us 16 years of amazing memories, lots of laughs and most importantly, ensuring we never had a crumb of food left on our floors 🙂 … love you!”

Then, less than two weeks later the family’s dog, Bowie, also passed away.

Alba again took to Instagram to share the news, writing, “Came home to a dog less home- our sweet girl Bowie is now resting in peace with her sister Sidders.”

She continued, “It’s been a rough two weeks. Will cherish our last night cuddling forever. Bowmeister was the sweetest love bug. RIP Bowie.”

Losing a pet is never easy, and condolences came in from fans on Instagram. Some even thought Bowie must have been too sad to go on without Sid.

“He must have died from a broken heart when Sid passed away earlier. I’m sorry for your loss,” one fan wrote.

Such a sad, but sweet, thought.

The family is undoubtedly going through a lot right now, but they also have a lot to look forward to. Alba recently announced that she and Warren are expecting their third child.

She told Jimmy Fallon that she and her husband are busy thinking of baby names, which must begin with “H” and also be words, like her daughters, Honor and Haven.
