This ‘Big Bang Theory’ Star Just Got Married!
Congrats to the happy couple!
Actor Jim Parsons, whom you probably know best as the incorrigible Sheldon from “The Big Bang Theory,” married his partner of 14 years, Todd Spiewack on Saturday night.
And if you were wondering, their wedding was extremely cute and no physics were involved (that we know of).
Reception, first dance… (have to say thank you to #anniepsaltaris who was supposed to just be a guest but worked really hard to help us get the @tomford tuxes we loved so much AND she tied the bow ties of several guests that night. Annie is a champ and we love her ❤) photos by @ambergressphotography (why can’t I figure out how to tag @melissamcneeley and @doan_ly ??? Oh yeah, cuz I’m old. 👌)
The couple married in the famous Rainbow Room, the renowned event space and restaurant that sits at the top of 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.

In a case of interesting symmetry with the show that made him famous: The season finale ended with Sheldon proposing to his girlfriend, Amy (played by Mayim Bialik). Luckily, we’ll actually be able to see that wedding happen.
Though Parsons is famously tight-lipped about his love life, he did share an Instagram on the couple’s 14th wedding anniversary last November. The caption reads, “I met this guy… 14 years ago today and it was the best thing that ever happened to me, no contest. One of his greatest gifts to me is that he no longer takes me to sing karaoke.”
I met this guy (the one with the mic) 14 years ago today and it was the best thing that ever happened to me, no contest. One of his greatest gifts to me is that he no longer takes me to sing karaoke. Also, I believe this was a selfie with an actual camera, as our phones couldn't do that back then hahaha! #todd #anniversary ❤️
Parsons came out as gay publicly in a 2012 profile with The New York Times where he revealed that he was in a longterm relationship. But in 2014, he told Ellen DeGeneres that he and his boyfriend had no immediate plans for marriage.
Now, we’re happy to say that is far from true—Jim and Todd are so cute as a couple! And Parsons’ life is just full of good news. CBS just renewed “The Big Bang Theory” for another two seasons.
On top of that, Parsons is getting his own spinoff show that will be just about Sheldon. The spinoff will follow a young Sheldon as he goes through high school. Parsons will narrate and also serve as the executive producer.
Outside of work, however, we hope Jim and Todd’s life together is full of love, laughter and not too many Sheldon-y quirks… unless Todd is into that, of course.
