Joanna Gaines shows off her baby bump on 40th birthday

Joanna Gaines turned 40 on April 19 — and she celebrated in a big way!

She showed off her baby bump to her fans on Instagram and also had a few delicious doughnuts to commemorate the very special occasion.

She and husband Chip Gaines are preparing for baby number five, which they (accidentally) announced will be a boy.

The “Fixer Upper” star seems to be loving the stage of life she and her family are in right now, as she captioned the photo, “This is 40. And I like it…”

The mom-to-be also added “#pregnantand40,” along with “#anddoughnuts,” in case you missed that big plate of yummy doughnuts — which look absolutely delicious, by the way.

The Gaineses may have just ended their “Fixer Upper” show for good, but considering there’s a new baby on the way and that they’ve just opened a new restaurant — the timing couldn’t have been more perfect.

In an emotional send-off letter to the show, Joanna showed fans her growing baby bump.

She wrote: “With our little ones getting bigger, we had this gut feeling that it was time to step back and focus on them and our businesses here in Waco, Texas. And although that’s why we thought we decided to step away from the show, we now realize with this little one on the way that there was a bigger plan in place for us all along.”

Things have a funny way of working out like that — and clearly, this birthday girl is more than OK with that. Happy birthday to the expecting mommy!

Magnolia Table Restaurant

If you’re thinking of making a trip to Waco, Texas, to visit the Gaines’ new restaurant, here’s a peek inside what the experience will be like at this breakfast and brunch spot.

Magnolia Table will mostly serve as a breakfast joint, which is something Chip has always been interested in doing according to Joanna’s At Home blog. Lunch menu items include the House BLT, the Magnolia Burger and the Gaines Brothers Burger.

In many ways, the Gaineses have made Waco a tourist attraction—and Magnolia Table is likely to be no different. Local reporters talked to people who flew from Ohio to Texas in hopes of getting a seat at the table. One woman woke up at 4:30 a.m. to make sure she got her seat!

The beloved couple is giving customers plenty of reasons to come back for more. Magnolia Table seats 210 guests on a first-come, first-served basis—so that means no reservations if you’re planning to make a long drive. The hours are 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The restaurant is closed on Sundays.

It’s easy to see Joanna Gaines’ farmhouse-chic aesthetic. The black and white decor with pops of greenery has all of us begging for a home makeover, as Casey did in this Instagram post below from her visit:

As for the food, it looks delightful, if we do say so ourselves. Joanna Gaines has previously bragged about the biscuits and strawberry butter on Instagram. At least one customer, Ashley Carson, agreed, saying, “probably the best biscuits I’ve ever had.”

You have to love the fresh-looking ingredients—many of which apparently come straight from Joanna’s farm garden. This avocado toast with micro greens that diner Thomas Hernandez posted looks delicious!
