Joanna Gaines becomes aunt again days after announcing her own pregnancy

There’s a lot going on for the husband-and-wife duo from HGTV’s “Fixer Upper.”

The fifth and final season is now underway and, with the news of the show’s impending finale still fresh, Chip and Joanna Gaines also announced they are expecting baby No. 5!

Now, just days after that bombshell, Joanna shared via Instagram that she is an aunt again, with her sister Mary Kay McCall and brother-in-law David welcoming their sixth child.

“My sister had her beautiful baby girl! #motherofsix #butshelooks16,” Joanna wrote on Instagram.

“Fixer Upper” fans already knew Mary Kay from an episode of the hit HGTV show in which Chip and Joanna made over a home in Waco, Texas for Mary Kay and her (still-growing) family. Joanna even said it was her favorite episode of the entire season!

The night the episode with Joanna’s sister aired—Jan. 2—is the same night Chip and Joanna announced their fifth pregnancy.

“Chip swears he can already tell it’s a boy. Look at the little heartbeat!!” Joanna wrote on Instagram the next day.

Before the episode aired, Chip hinted at their big news via social media, tweeting: “We’ve got some big news to share!” Watch the video for more details and a hilarious clip that Chip posted on Instagram:

Chip also posted a picture of the couple on Instagram featuring his-and-hers belly shots in matching grey shirts, as well as a post on Twitter confirming the news and even sharing the date of conception, writing, “…You might recall a few months back.. the ever amazing, ever romantic @JOHNNYSWIM was in Waco. And they put on a little too romantic of a concert.. anyways, one thing led to another, & we are officially pregnant…”

TMI? Maybe, but it’s pretty darn funny! And kinda romantic and sweet, too. Right?

If his Twitter post is true, it looks like Joanna’s due date would be sometime in July, as Johnnyswim played a show in Waco on Oct. 13. But we’ll all just have to wait and see!

For now, Chip and Joanna are already parents to four kids who sometimes make appearances on “Fixer Upper:” Drake, 12; Ella, 11; Duke, 9; and Emmie, 7.

Having four (almost five!) children is enough to keep anyone busy, but the couple also has a retail and vacation rental business, a charity foundation, plus they sell their Magnolia items online, have a new book due in April 2018 and designed a home decor collection for Target.

So while the news of the show ending isn’t exactly good news for fans, in a post on their Magnolia website, the couple explained they made the decision in order to, understandably, let them catch their breath.

“We would be foolish to think we can go and go and fire on all cylinders and never stop to pause,” they wrote. “Our family is healthy and our marriage has honestly never been stronger. This has nothing to do with a fraudulent skincare line or anything else you’ll inevitably read. This is just us recognizing that we need to catch our breath for a moment. Our plan is to take this time to shore up and strengthen the spots that are weak, rest the places that are tired and give lots of love and attention to both our family and our businesses.”
