Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Got Married in A Surprise Vegas Ceremony
All three of the Jonas brothers are officially married men! Joe Jonas (who was the only unmarried brother) and his fiancée, Sophie Turner, tied the knot on May 2. Following the Billboard Music Awards, which included a performance from the Jonas Brothers, the couple got married at the infamous Chapel L’Amour at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Vegas.
To complete the Vegas-themed wedding, there was an Elvis impersonator as the officiant and the couple exchanged Ring Pops instead of wedding bands, according to People magazine.
While neither Turner nor Jonas has officially confirmed the news personally — guess they’re too busy enjoying married life! — a rep for the “Game of Thrones” actress told People, “We can confirm Sophie and Joe were married in Las Vegas last night.”
The pair began dating back in 2016 and by October 2017, they were engaged.
The couple announced their engagement on Instagram, each posting the same photo with a simple caption. Turner wrote, “I said yes,” while Jonas followed suit, writing, “She said yes”:

Turner was only 21 when she got engaged, but she told Rolling Stone that you know love when you find it, no matter your age:
“I think once you’ve found the right person, you just know,” she said.
In March 2019, Jonas began letting out wedding details, announcing that the nuptials would indeed take place in 2019 during an interview with James Corden on “The Late Late Show with James Corden.” However, he also said it would be a summer wedding that would include a game of rugby and football leading up to the moment the two said “I do.”
With the way it’s played out so far, it seems the most factual thing he said during that interview about the wedding was, “It’s going to be a lot of fun”:
He also mentioned that his wedding would be different from his brothers’ weddings, and boy — he wasn’t kidding! The Vegas wedding was reportedly impromptu, as the couple had only acquired a marriage license hours earlier. But, given that the Billboard Music Awards had just taken place, friends and important family members, such as Nick and Kevin Jonas, were able to attend.
There’s still a chance that the larger ceremony Jonas described on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” will still take place, but in the meantime, Jonas and Turner are officially husband and wife!
Mr. and Mrs. Jonas definitely didn’t go the traditional wedding route, but they managed to celebrate their love in a special, unforgettable way, and that’s all that really matters.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
