If you were a fan of Joel McHale on the E! nighttime talk show “The Soup” prior to its cancellation in 2015, Netflix has some news that is sure to make your day. Starting Sunday Feb. 18, you’ll be able to catch the funny man on the streaming service with a new weekly show called “The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale.”

It’s being billed as a comedy show with “trending news, pop culture, social media, original videos and more” by Netflix. That formula is already giving us flashbacks to our weekly dose of McHale mocking “Bachelorette” clips and cracking Kardashian jokes! (You also may recognize McHale from “Community,” an NBC comedy on which he starred for six years.)

According to TV Line, each episode of “The Joel McHale Show With Joel McHale” will be 30 minutes long and tape every Thursday and air the following Sunday, so you know the content will be fresh and the jokes new. McHale will serve as host and executive producer alongside his longtime “Soup” producer KP Anderson and “Freaks and Geeks”/”Bridesmaids” executive producer Paul Feig is also on board.

Aside from taking a fun look at pop culture and news that everyone is talking about that week, “The Joel McHale Show With Joel McHale” will also have celebrity guests, comedy sketches (crossing our fingers over here for spaghetti cat!) and video clips from TV, sports, politics, celebrity culture and the internet.

News of the new Netflix talk show comes three months after Chelsea Handler left her  talk show on the network after two seasons and on the heels of a new show with David Letterman.

Letterman’s series, called “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction” is a monthly talk show that focuses on “fascinating global figures for in-depth interviews and curiosity-fueled excursions,” according to Netflix. The first and currently only episode on Netflix features President Barack Obama:

In an age where beloved shows and hosts are finding new life on streaming services —like “Fuller House,” “Arrested Development” and “Gilmore Girls” — it shouldn’t come as a surprise that we’re seeing some of our favorite faces again. We’re excited to see “The Joel McHale Show With Joel McHale” when it debuts next month!
