John Krasinski And Emily Blunt’s Brooklyn Townhouse Is For Sale
Less than two years after purchasing a $6 million home in Brooklyn, New York, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are putting their seven-bed, three-and-a-half bath house on the market.
The couple purchased the home after selling three California properties in a decision to move from Los Angeles for the East Coast. The 5,200 square-foot home was recently renovated and is now listed for $8 million. What a way to make a few million dollars!
Krasinski, who is best known for his role as Jim on “The Office”, says they’re selling the property because they simply don’t spend enough time there.
“We’ve been nomads for a while now, but that’s the nature of the business,” he told the Wall Street Journal. “The house is so special—someone who can spend every night there should have it.”
And special it is! Built in 1909, the limestone townhouse is in the French Renaissance Revival style. Upon first walking in through the glass entry door, it’s impossible to miss the gorgeous crown molding and beautiful blue carpet on the stairs.
You’ll find stained-glass windows, built-in book cases and a gas fireplace in one of the parlors, making it a cozy room for chilly New York nights.
The middle parlor then continues into the formal dining room, which also includes a fireplace and built-in cabinets. The dining room table seats eight people, with two more chairs near the fireplace.
The kitchen, simply put, is stunning. Between the floor-to-ceiling windows and the sky light, there is plenty of natural light. The long kitchen island looks perfect for sitting at to eat lunch. And look at all that cupboard space—so much of room for storage!
Take a walk up the stairs to the master suite’s floor and you’ll find the bedroom and a gorgeous master bath. Then, there’s another living area with a fireplace and a second story terrace.
The fourth floor features four more bedrooms and a bathroom. The simple and modern bedrooms look quite cozy.
There is yet another family room on the garden level. It features a set of double doors and a piano. It’s no secret that Blunt can sing (after all, she is the new “Mary Poppins”!), so perhaps the piano saw a few tunes played by the 34-year-old actress.

Lastly you’ll find something pretty rare in New York City—a yard! And not just a boring patch of grass either. This one has a cedar fence for privacy and a seating area perfect for entertaining.
Krasinski and Blunt married in Italy in 2010. They now have two daughters, 3-year-old Hazel and 1-year-old Violet. There’s no word yet on where they’ll be moving. But hopefully they’ll get to spend more time in their next home!
