John Stamos and Caitlin McHugh got engaged at Disneyland

It looks like congratulations in order! On Sunday, “Fuller House” actor John Stamos shared the happy news on Instagram that he and his girlfriend of two years, Caitlin McHugh, got engaged over the weekend.

Stamos’ rep told People that the actor proposed to McHugh at Disneyland, a place that both Stamos and McHugh are both slightly obsessed with.

In fact, McHugh’s Instagram page is pretty much all Disney all day (no joke!), so Stamos clearly picked the right place to propose.

On Good Morning America on Monday, co-host Lara Spencer shared the story of exactly how Stamos proposed. “He put together some of the most romantic moments from Disney and Pixar animation [in a video],” Spencer said. “And then he ended it with Sebastian from The Little Mermaid saying, ‘Just ask the girl’ to John.”

How cute is that? Stamos wrapped it all up by sharing a lovely, Disney-esque illustration of the now-engaged couple on his Instagram, and the whole thing was magical.

“I asked… she said yes!” he captioned a Disney-themed drawing of the two of them. “And we lived happily ever after.”

Stamos and McHugh have been dating since the beginning of 2016, although they haven’t shared the story of how they met or too many details about their life together.

“We like to keep our lives private because we’ve seen what relationships in the public eye can be like and we just like our privacy,” McHugh told Entertainment Tonight in January. “We don’t want the commentary from the masses about what our relationship is or should be. We’re very happy together and we hope to be so for a long time.”

McHugh is a writer and actress who’s appeared in films such as “I Am Legend” and TV shows like “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “The Vampire Diaries.”

McHugh added Stamos was “super supportive” and she “couldn’t ask for anything better.”

So while the two have kept the details about their relationship fairly private, it’s clear that the they are head over heels for each other. Congratulations to the happy couple!
