John Stamos and his wife welcome their first baby
Dreams do come true! John Stamos, who infamously plays Uncle Jesse in “Full House and “Fuller House,” is no longer an uncle — he’s finally a dad, just as he always wanted to be!
He and wife, Caitlin McHugh, welcomed a son, and couldn’t wait to share the news on Instagram. They named their little boy Billy, after Stamos’ late father.
“From now on, the best part of me will always be my wife and my son. Welcome Billy Stamos (named after my father),” Stamos wrote on Instagram.
He also added “#NotJustanUncleAnymore” and “#Overjoyed” to the post:

Welcome to the world, little Billy!
Stamos, who is 54, has said that the only thing he regrets about having a child later in life is that his parents are no longer alive to see his little one grow up.
“I had the best father in the world,” the actor told People magazine. “It kills me that my parents aren’t here to be part of this.”
But the fact that Stamos named his son after his father certainly connects the generations. What beautiful tribute!
Stamos popped the question to his now wife at Disney World, and shortly after revealing they were expecting, the two were married.

Stamos also told People that he “always wanted to be a dad,” but he thought “that ship [had] sailed.”
Clearly, Stamos and McHugh are making their dreams come true together!
