Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are reportedly engaged

Shortly after Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin were spotted hanging out together again, rumors began swirling that the pair was engaged.

Now, according to CNN, a source close to Bieber confirmed that the pair really are engaged to be married. The couple was spotted vacationing together in the Bahamas, and that’s when Baldwin was first seen wearing a very large diamond ring on that finger.

The first photo of the stunning ring surfaced online by way of Twitter user @azymanzur who claimed his friend met the couple and saw the ring in person:

TMZ reported that Bieber dropped to one knee at a resort in the Bahamas after everyone nearby was asked to put their phones away.

Shortly after, Bieber’s parents shared social media posts that appear to confirm the engagement.

Bieber’s dad wrote on Instagram: “Proud is an understatement! Excited for the next chapter!”

Meanwhile, Bieber’s mom posted the word “love” written repeatedly to Twitter:

Bieber and Baldwin have had an on-again off-again relationship since 2016, but they were friends years before ever confirming their status as a couple. And the pair always tried to remain friends even when they weren’t dating.

The singer opened up about being careful not to hurt Baldwin in an interview with GQ back in 2016.

“I know that in the past I’ve hurt people and said things that I didn’t mean to make them happy in the moment,” he said. “So now I’m just more so looking at the future, making sure I’m not damaging them. What if Hailey ends up being the girl I’m gonna marry, right? If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it’s always gonna be damaged. It’s really hard to fix wounds like that. It’s so hard … I just don’t want to hurt her.”

Seems as if they were able to keep their relationship intact throughout the years and are now ready to take it to the next level. Congratulations to the happy couple!
