Hollywood power couple Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have six grandchildren between them. Although they are not married, they have been together for an impressive 35 years and raised their families together. The actors seem to relish their roles as grandma and grandpa, as evidenced by a sweet photo that Hawn’s daughter, Kate Hudson, shared of the two with her 2-month-old daughter, Rani Rose.
The infant is Hudson’s first child with her boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa. Hudson is also mom to 7-year-old Bingham Hawn and 14-year-old Ryder Russell from previous relationships.
Check out the adorable photo of the doting grandparents with their newest grandchild, posted to Hudson’s Instagram:
“Grandma and Grandpa duty … or should I say Mr. and Mrs. Claus #IKnewIt,” the mom of three captioned the snap of the grandparents gazing lovingly at their granddaughter.
Her caption is fitting, as Russell and Hawn star as Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus in the new Netflix movie, “The Christmas Chronicles.” Hawn’s son and Hudson’s brother, Oliver Hudson, also stars in the film.
Last month, the celebrity grandparents hit the red carpet with most of their family for the premiere of the movie. Here’s a group shot snapped at the premiere. Oliver Hudson can be seen with his wife, Erinn Bartlett, and three kids, Bodhi, Wilder, and Rio. Russell and Hawn’s son, Wyatt, is also present.
Although Rani Rose was not present, Russell spoke about their excitement over the new addition to their clan.
“She is the sixth grandchild, Kate’s first daughter,” Russell, 67, told People at the time. “And along with the other five now, it is obviously a fantastic addition, and it will be fun just to watch her little eyes looking at the lights on the Christmas tree and taking it all in for the first time.”
Russell also told the magazine that the family would spend the holidays together in Aspen, Colorado, per their tradition. “Christmas is huge in our family, it’s just something that is really a big deal to us,” he said. “Santa is the centerpiece of Christmas, it is the one time of the year that we are all able to get together for a good, long period of time, and have all of the things that all families have.”
Here’s hoping that we see some more family photos of this brood from their Christmas getaway!
