Katy Perry And Orlando Bloom Dress Up As Mr. And Mrs. Claus To Visit Children’s Hospital

What’s the only thing better than getting a visit from the actual Santa Claus? Getting a visit from Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom dressed up as Mr. and Mrs. Claus, of course!

The two performers visited the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles this week, dressed from head to toe as the famous Claus couple. The only thing missing was Bloom’s white Santa beard, but something had to distinguish him from the jolly old man himself, right?

According to USA Today, the pair “joined families for a holiday sing-along, handed out gifts, took photos with each family, and asked everyone what the holidays meant to them.”

No doubt this visit helped the patients forget, if only fleetingly, about the challenges of their circumstances. It’s bad enough to be in the hospital as a child, let alone during the holidays.

The hospital also told the publication that Perry and Bloom surprised a “megafan” with a happy birthday duet. Can you imagine having Katy Perry sing you happy birthday? It’s practically a Christmas miracle.

And through the photos the hospital posted to Facebook, you can tell that this visit really meant a lot to these kids. Just look at the joy on their faces.

Of course, they’re not the only ones who look immensely happy. Bloom and Perry look ecstatic to be spreading a bit of the holiday spirit this year. Perry posted about the event to Instagram writing, “I hope everyone can give back this season in their own way. That’s the greatest gift of all.”

So, if Santa and Mrs. Claus ever need to retire, I’d say these two have a pretty great shot at filling in for them because they’ve got this whole Christmas thing in the bag—Santa’s toy bag, if you will!
