Kellogg’s is debuting Froot Loops candy canes this holiday season

Candy canes are a classic Christmas treat that date all the way back to the 17th century. But as cute as they are hanging from the Christmas tree, not everyone loves peppermint flavors during the holiday season.

Just because you don’t love minty flavors doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy candy canes, though. This year, there’s a new candy cane flavor in town, and it’s one you’ll recognize from your breakfast table: Kellogg’s Froot Loops!

The Froot Loops candy canes are striped just like regular candy canes, but the colors coordinate with Toucan Sam’s radiant hues. Of course, they also taste like Froot Loops! The candy canes will be at Kroger and online for around $3.99 for a box of 12.

The new Froot Loops candy canes are not the only uniquely-flavored candy canes for sale this year. The brand Archie McPhee has nearly a dozen interesting candy cane flavors, like ham and bacon for meat-lovin’ candy fans, or shiitake mushroom and kale for those who want their candy canes to taste more plant-based.

The company also makes candy canes that taste like pickles, mac & cheese, ketchup and even pizza, which the brand says taste like “a little slice of Italian-spiced heaven.”

If you’re not into candy canes, but enjoy other uniquely-flavored sweet treats, Archie McPhee has a crazy selection of other kinds of candies, like pickle-flavored mintsbacon-flavored jelly beans and hard candies that taste like lobster or fried chicken.

If you’d rather head to the store for your interesting-flavored candy, Brach’s is offering candy corn that tastes like a Thanksgiving turkey dinner! Available at Walgreens, the candy has all the Thanksgiving flavors: green beans, stuffing, ginger-glazed carrots, cranberry sauce and sweet potato pie.

Jelly Belly also has a plethora of unique jelly bean flavors that taste like other popular treats, like Krispy Kreme doughnuts, Snapple and ice cream.

The brand also offers an entire line of spicy jelly beans. The candies, flavored with sriracha, jalapeno, cayenne, habanero and Carolina Reaper, just might make you cry.
