Kelly Clarkson and her husband attended the ‘UglyDoll’ premiere with all 4 of their children—and the photos are adorable
In a rare public appearance, singer Kelly Clarkson and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, posed for photos with all four of their kids at the Los Angeles premiere of the “UglyDolls” movie on April 27.
The two oldest kids, Savannah, 17, and Seth, 12, are Blackstone’s children from his first marriage. River Rose, 4, and son Remington Alexander, 3, are his kids with Clarkson.
Clarkson and the four youngsters sported pops of color in their outfits that mirrored the colorful feel of “UglyDolls.” Blackstone went with a more subdued black, charcoal and white combo (perhaps to match the attire of the townspeople of Perfection in the film?).
The bright pink Christian Siriano gown worn by Clarkson complements the skin of the “UglyDolls” character she voices, Moxy. The animated film is based on the popular children’s plush toy line. In the UglyDolls’ town, Uglyville, “ugly” is a positive term referencing each character’s uniqueness.
Clarkson wasn’t the only “UglyDoll” star to make the movie’s premiere a family affair. Clarkson’s fellow “The Voice” coach Blake Shelton plays the Unofficial Mayor of Uglyville. He and his girlfriend, ex-“The Voice” coach Gwen Stefani, came with Stefani’s three sons from her marriage to Gavin Rossdale: Kingston Rossdale, 12; Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, 10; Kingston Rossdale, 12; and Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale, 5.
Shelton joked with Extra that his “cool points went up” with Stefani’s sons because of “UglyDolls.” He also said that Stefani and he rarely get to go to an event together let alone with her boys.
“It’s cool that it’s this project — the kids are super excited about this movie,” Shelton said. “I’m excited for them, because it’s such a great message.”
Also at the premiere were “UglyDolls” cast members Nick Jonas, Emma Roberts, Pitbull and Janelle Monae, all of whom got the memo on making bold color choices in their outfits to match their rainbow-hued alter egos. The actors not only do the voices of their animated characters, they also sing in the film.
Talk about a star-studded premiere party! Are you planning to see the “UglyDolls” movie with your kids?
