Most people know Kelly Clarkson as powerhouse pop singer and a coach on “The Voice.” Now she will show fans another one of her talents as the host of her own daytime talk show, set to debut in fall of 2019. Clarkson confirmed the news during an appearance on “The Tonight Show” on Sept. 18.

“I love talking — it’s like my favorite pastime,” she told host Jimmy Fallon of how the new project is a perfect fit for her. “It’s hard for me to shut up, though. You know, you have to listen to people that go on your show. That’s the only thing I got to work on … is listening.”

The series, entitled “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” will air on NBC affiliates ahead of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” The hour-long program will include celebrity guests and music and will also feature the singer’s backing band. “If you don’t like music, you probably shouldn’t watch,” she told Fallon.

Clarkson’s show will replace “Steve,” Steve Harvey’s talk show, in many markets, and has also led to speculation that it may signal the end of the long-running soap opera “Days of Our Lives.”

“She’s genuine, warm, fun and interacts with her fans in a meaningful way,” Valari Staab, president, NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations, said of Clarkson in a statement. “Throughout her career people of all ages and backgrounds have related to her openness, honesty and curiosity. She will be the perfect companion to ‘Ellen’ providing an afternoon of great television.”

Clarkson has previously shown off her sense of humor during her appearance on “Carpool Karaoke,” which turned into a hilarious date night with her husband, and she demonstrated her sweet side when she made quilts for her fellow coaches on “The Voice.”

It certainly seems like she has plenty of personality to hook viewers! Will you watch “The Kelly Clarkson Show”?
