Kelly Ripa Shared An Adorable Photo Of Mark Consuelos With His Father And Lookalike Sons
Like father, like son!
The apple didn’t fall far from the tree in the Consuelos family! Kelly Ripa recently shared a photo on her Instagram account proving that the lookalike phase started with her husband’s father, was passed on to her husband, Mark Consuelos, and trickled all the way down to her sons.
The multi-generational photo posted to Ripa’s Instagram account shows her father-in-law, husband and two sons, 21-year-old Michael and 15-year-old Joaquin, smiling together and looking almost exactly alike, and it really couldn’t be cuter:
Even Ripa couldn’t help but comment on the family’s good looks, captioning the photo, “Papi chulos” with some fire emojis.
This isn’t the first time Ripa has shared throwback photos that prove just how alike the grandfather, father and sons are, either.
The talk show host dedicated this series of photos to her father-in-law, where she calls him the “world’s best father in law.” Aww!
While it’s clear that Ripa and Consuelos’ sons take after the Consuelos side of the family, her husband can’t take all of the credit when it comes to their adorable children. They also share a daughter, Lola, who takes after her mom.
Ripa’s been open about the fact that her daughter doesn’t always approve of her posting photos to Instagram unless they’re just right. But thankfully, there’s the off chance when Lola appears on her mom’s Instagram — looking amazing, of course — because, as the mom states, “miracles happen every day.” And when Ripa’s allowed to show Lola off, it’s hard not to notice the resemblance between the mom and daughter:
The kids may be all grown up now, but it wasn’t long ago that they looked like these tiny tots. This blast from the past was just taken in 2003:
And considering the fact that now they look like this, it’s hard to believe how fast the time flies!:
Their eldest son is already off to college, and considering that now they’re about to send their daughter to college, too, these parents definitely understand how fleeting time can be.
Consuelos posted a photo of Lola, taken when she was just a little girl, to Instagram, writing, “On college visits with this one. Time please slow down.”
The parents learned a lot along the way, and Consuelos credits his father for passing on more than his good looks. He passed on parenting advice, too, while teaching his son about commitment:
“Ninety percent of success in this world is just showing up, he’d say. Just show up, and you’ll figure it out. It’s the best lesson I ever learned from him,” Consuelos told Men’s Health. “You have to show up for the people in your life. That’s what parenting is — showing up.”
Like father, like son.
