There’s a lot you could give your mom this Mother’s Day, but everyone with a sweet tooth knows treats are the ultimate way to go. Chocolate is an obvious choice, but if you’re looking for something a bit different this year, you might want to head to KFC.
Yes, that KFC. To celebrate Mother’s Day, Kentucky Fried Chicken is adding a special item to its menu for a limited time. You can now order Cinnabon Dessert Biscuits!
Available through June 30, the new treat is a mashup. KFC drizzles its own flaky biscuits with cinnamon brown sugar glaze and Cinnabon’s signature cream cheese frosting. In other words, it’s a must-have dessert for moms — and everyone else, too.
Even sweeter, you’ll get four for free with the purchase of any 10-piece meal or larger between April 29-June 30 (or while supplies last). You can also buy them for just $1 each. Four cost $3.
According to a press release, Mother’s Day is one of KFC’s best-selling days of the year. It turns out moms like taking the day off from cooking (imagine that!) and the restaurant chain serves about 300,000 families each year on the holiday. That’s about four million pieces of chicken, 900,000 servings of mashed potatoes and gravy and 500,000 servings of coleslaw.
As part of the Mother’s Day fun, KFC is also making it possible for people to create free personalized “Chickendales” videos for their moms. That’s definitely a “Colonel-ized” version of the famous Chippendales dancers.
If you don’t have a KFC where you are or don’t live close to your mom, Cinnabon is also bringing back its heart-shaped cinnamon rolls, originally released for Valentine’s Day. You can get gift Cinnapacks at Cinnabon bakeries now, and they will be available to send right to your mom beginning May 1.
Rather stay home? You can try your hand at making your own dessert biscuits, like these Cinnamon Sugar Glazed Biscuit Knots from Pillsbury that use biscuit dough, sugar, cinnamon, butter powdered sugar and milk. Yum!
Of course, mom will also need something to wash down the sweet treats, so you could treat her to two glasses of wine, even if you’re not there to celebrate with her. For $16, you can send her two 6.3 oz bottles from Usual Wines, which will provide her with two full glasses (and then some) of red and rosé. Shipping is free on your first order.
Or go all out with a full wine subscription like this monthly summer one from 90+ Cellars. She’ll get either three or six bottles of rosé four times a year (May through August), so she will have plenty to drink next season!

Will you be picking up some FKC dessert biscuits to celebrate the mothers in your life? If you keep them for yourself instead, we won’t tell.
