KFC is testing Cheetos chicken sandwiches in several states
Kentucky Fried Chicken is testing out a new menu item, and if you like the idea of Cheetos with your fast food, you’re going to want to give it a try. KFC is rolling out the Cheetos Sandwich at select restaurants in Greensboro and Raleigh, North Carolina; Roanoke and Richmond, Virginia and Greenville, Georgia.
“Made by coating a juicy, hand-breaded extra crispy chicken filet with special Cheetos sauce and placing it on a toasted bun with mayo and a layer of crunchy Cheetos, the Cheetos Sandwich will give you a blast of craveable Cheetos in every bite,” reads a press release.
Here’s a look at what the delectable-sounding new sandwich looks like:
Yum! I have to admit, Cheetos on Cheetos paired with fried chicken doesn’t sound half-bad. Hopefully, if the test run is successful, the sandwich will be introduced at locations nationwide.
“KFC took its signature Crispy Colonel Sandwich, introduced in April of last year, and completely Cheeto-fied it for an extra crunch and a double punch of flavor,” reads the press statement.
Of course, this is not the first time KFC has unveiled a fun twist on a classic menu item. In June 2018, they launched the Pickle-Fried Chicken Sandwich.

“People are crazy about pickles, and pickle-flavored products are becoming today’s trendiest menu item,” Andrea Zahumensky, KFC U.S. chief marketing officer, said in a press release at the time. “Our guests have been clamoring for more pickles — especially since we launched the Crispy Colonel Sandwich — so we’re giving them what they want by coating our Extra Crispy Chicken with a mouthwatering pickle sauce that delivers a craveable punch of pickle in every bite!”
