KFC’s Fried Chicken-Scented Sunscreen Is Sold Out

We'd love to hear from someone who actually got their hands on a bottle of this limited-edition sunscreen.

Will people stop at nothing to get their hands on some fried chicken? It appears that the answer to that question is yes. Yes, indeed.

Because when it comes to the finger lickin’ good variety, people would even choose to smell like fried chicken, if they could. Through a limited-edition offer, KFC gave folks the opportunity to do just that. You could have your fried chicken and wear it, too, thanks to the SPF 30 fried chicken-scented sunscreen they released yesterday.

The company had just 3,000 free bottles of KFC’s Extra Crispy Sunscreen to give, and as of this morning, they have sold out.

Who doesn’t want their skin protection to smell like a KFC bucket, right? OK, I’ll be honest— I’m not completely sold on the idea of it. But, hey, to each their own.

According to the editors of Refinery29, who got to give Extra Crispy Sunscreen a test drive, it is not something they would recommend (one editor said it smelled like “dog-food chicken”). When it comes to fried chicken, KFC may be better at cooking it than bottling it, apparently.
