‘Game of Thrones’ actors Kit Harington and Rose Leslie welcomed first baby

“Game of Thrones” actors Kit Harington and Rose Leslie were recently spotted out with their baby boy, confirming that the famous duo was now a trio. The couple announced back in September that they were expecting, but until now, fans had not seen the baby or heard about the birth.

Paparazzi snaps showed the new parents as they walked down the street in London, with Leslie wearing the baby on her chest in a carrier.

Later, Harington’s rep confirmed the birth of the baby boy to Page Six, saying that mom and dad are both “very, very happy.” No more details were given.

It’s no surprise that we haven’t heard much about Leslie’s pregnancy or the arrival of their baby. Both Leslie and Harington are quite private, and they even managed to keep their relationship secret from their “Game of Thrones” fans for a while. In a 2017 interview with Esquire, Harington said that he declines taking pictures with his wife for fans because “then it makes our relationship feel like … puppets. Like we’re a walking show.”

However, throughout the fall of last year, paparazzi did get some shots of Leslie and her growing baby bump as she walked around London, and in a September cover story with Make magazine, Leslie looked like a glowing mother-to-be as she posed for photographs.

Still, don’t expect to hear much from the private couple about their newborn. Leslie didn’t mention the pregnancy in interviews, preferring to discuss her career and upcoming projects. In a September interview with Stylist magazine, Leslie stated that she is a rather private person and she naturally shies away from social media.

Leslie did talk about a different addition to their family, though: a new whippet puppy. And she revealed that she and Harington were enjoying their slow-paced lifestyle in lockdown.

“I feel incredibly grateful,” Leslie told Stylist. “My husband and I were fortunate to spend lockdown in the countryside. … We raised a puppy in lockdown. We were trying to eke out conversation over the dinner table, talking about nothing but what we’d eat the next day. It has been an extraordinary time for all of us; it certainly slowed us down.”

Leslie is starring in a new adaptation of Agatha Christie’s novel “Death on the Nile.” The movie is directed by Kenneth Branagh and will be released in September 2021.
