Kit Kat is introducing a summery new flavor

Next to fun summery cocktails and a s’more (or three), my favorite summer treat is hands-down a good old-fashioned apple pie. There is just something about apple pie that makes it perfect for any time of year, whether it’s eaten chilled and fruity in the heat of the season or warmed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream during the fall.

This summer, however, thanks to Kit Kat’s newest flavor, you don’t have to wait for the next barbecue or party to get a taste of some apple pie. You guessed it — apple pie-flavored Kit Kats are coming!

Covered in white cream and arriving just in time for summer weather, Kit Kat Apple Pie will be available at retailers nationwide beginning in July. While we don’t know when they’ll disappear from shelves, a Hershey spokesperson tells us they will only be around for a limited time, so make sure you get them while you can!

This is not the first time Kit Kat has given us a seasonal flavor. Pumpkin spice Kit Kats usually makes a comeback in mid-late summer, we were treated to sweet cinnamon Kit Kats last fall and winter and this Valentine’s Day saw a pink raspberry creme flavor that you can still buy in miniature form.

The brand also introduced birthday cake Kit Kats earlier this year, which included something never before seen in the candy: sprinkles! Covered in white creme, the birthday cake flavor marks the first time a Kit Kat bar included sprinkles or any added elements to the bar’s coating. While they are still available right now, they are also a limited time-only product.

The candy brand also recently added the first permanent flavor to their line-up in nearly a decade: Duos Mint + Dark Chocolate.

On shelves since last December, the mint chocolate Kit Kats feature a mint crème on the top and dark chocolate on the bottom, of course surrounding the same light and crispy wafer you know from the original Kit Kat.
