Traditionally, you’ve had just a few choices when it comes to the colors of your kitchen appliances: Stainless steel, black or white. But have you ever stepped foot in your kitchen and craved a splash of color?

Colorful kitchen appliances — we’re talking stoves, dishwashers, refrigerators — are an emerging trend interior designers are loving because they can warm up a space. Whether it’s a punchy red range or a sleek navy blue fridge, these appliances have a knack for becoming an unexpected focal point in the kitchen.

Want to add color to your own kitchen? KitchenAid is now making it easy. The beloved appliance brand is now selling gas range stoves that come in nine different colors, some of which are unique. The brand says that after 100 years of curating timeless colors, popularized with its iconic stand mixer, it’s time to infuse color into its other kitchen appliances.

The KitchenAid Smart Commercial-Style Gas Ranges come in 30-inch, 36-inch, and 48-inch models and retail for $3,999 to $8,899. The ranges come in the following colors: scorched orange, avocado cream, milkshake (a taupe color), passion red, yellow pepper, misty blue and ink blue, as well as the more classic stainless steel and imperial black.

Watch for sales because some colors may get marked down. A good mid-priced model in the line is the 30-inch KitchenAid Smart Commercial Style Range with four burners, which retails for $4,299. The 48-inch model comes complete with an electric griddle.

These stoves include a convection oven and high-heat, dual-flame burners. They are Alexa-enabled and also work with Google Assistant, so you can control their functions with an app and save custom cooking instructions for your favorite recipes. You can also get a separate kit to change the style and color of the range medallions if you’d like to customize yours even more.

Worth noting: KitchenAid does partner with Affirm, which allows you to break up your payments over 12, 24 or 36 months. Customers who opt for the 12-month payment plan can qualify for 0% interest. Delivery on appliances may be delayed due to COVID-19. Also, there’s a store locator at the site if you want to find a retailer near you.

In addition to KitchenAid, Hallman is another maker of colorful ranges. The appliance brand sells ranges in blue, emerald and antique white.

Looking for a more subtle pop of color in the kitchen? The iconic KitchenAid stand mixers come in a few dozen colors that you can customize. Or, Smeg toasters come in a variety of colors like pastel blue, soft pink, or bold red.
