Have An Unused Toys R Us Or Babies R Us Gift Card? Kmart Will Give You $10 For It

They are only taking the gift cards for a limited time so act quickly!

Following the announcement that Toys R Us would be shutting its doors for good, those with baby registries at its sister store, Babies R Us, and gift cards to both stores were left wondering what to do.

If you do have a gift card and weren’t able to find something you’d like to spend it on at either store, you are now officially out of luck because those stores stopped honoring gift cards on April 21.

Thankfully, Kmart has just launched a new rewards program that will exchange your unused Toys R Us and Babies R Us gift cards for points that you can use on in-store purchases. That means you’ll get $10 FREECASH in points by simply taking your unused gift card to a Kmart store!

Here’s how it works: You first have to sign up for the Shop Your Way rewards program, which you can easily do online. Then, just take your gift card to the Kmart customer service desk by July 31 to register for the exchange program. You’ll then get a link to fill out a survey and after completing the survey, you’ll get $10 FREECASH in your Shop Your Way account to use on any in-store purchase of $10 or more.

Keep in mind, this is a one-time offer for reward members, so even if you have two gift cards, you’ll still be getting $10 on your Shop Your Way account.

Once you’ve created a Shop Your Way account — or if you’re already a member — you can also text “TOY” to 56278 to get an additional $5 FREECASH on the 15th of every month that can be used through the 28th of that month toward a toy department purchase of $5 or more in-store and online at Kmart.com.
