Kobe Bryant’s First Photo Of His New Baby Girl Is Adorable

Even basketball stars are powerless when it comes to cute babies. Former NBA star Kobe Bryant shared an adorable photo on Instagram of the newest member of his family, Bianka. She was born Bianka Bella Bryant on Dec. 5, weighing in at 7 pounds, 5 ounces.

She is 20 inches long, according to her proud dad.

Bryant and his wife, Vanessa, got married in April 2001. Bianka is the couple’s third child together–they’re also raising 10-year-old Gianna and 13-year-old Natalia.

On Instagram, fans joked about the family of all girls. The photo, shared a few days before Christmas, has close to 500,000 likes on Instagram.

“Have a son already!” one user wrote.

Bryant, 38, announced that his wife was pregnant earlier this year with a photo of a onesie that said “Baby Mamba,” two tiny black sneakers and a red bow. The phrase is a reference to “The Black Mamba,” a nickname Bryant used to describe himself when he played basketball, according to Business Insider.

Bryant loves his family so much that he got his first tattoo in honor of his wife–a crown with her name under it, a halo and angel wings.

“This is a crown for my queen,” he said after he got the tattoo in 2003. “She’s my angel. She’s a blessing to me.”

He also brought his wife and two daughters to the Kids’ Choice Sports Awards this summer, where he was honored with the “Legend Award.” Though he’s busy, Bryant is heavily involved in his daughters’ lives. It seems daughter Gianna may be destined to follow in her dad’s basketball footsteps.

“We were shooting not too long ago and she was shooting one-dribble pullups,” Bryant told ESPN. “I asked her where does she get that from? She said, ‘From watching you.’ I didn’t know she was paying attention that much. I watch her play and she has the same mannerisms. She’ll sit there and bite her jersey and all this other stuff. That’s a beautiful thing.”

Bryant retired in April after 20 years with the Los Angeles Lakers, wrapping up an iconic career by scoring 60 points in his final game.

“Retirement’s been great for me,” he told USA Today in June. “I’m focused on the next thing and enjoying that. I get up every morning, and I’m excited to get to it. It’s been good.”
