Kraft wants to pay for your babysitter this Mother’s Day.

Through its Mother’s Day Away campaign, Kraft — maker of macaroni and cheese, Capri Suns, Lunchables — is giving away $50,000 to moms to reimburse them for babysitters that they hire on Sunday, May 12.

It sound pretty simple: Hire a babysitter and then go enjoy the time away from the kids — whether that’s at brunch, a spa day, drinking a “mom-sized” Tim Horton’s coffee, or however else you want to spend precious me time. All you have to do to next is submit your receipt up to $100, and Kraft will reimburse you.

For those who hire private babysitters for your child care, a signed note from the babysitter acknowledging payment will do the trick, according to CNN.

The Kraft website says: “Mom, this year we got you nothing. No meltdowns. No diaper changes. No trying to go to the bathroom with kids banging on the door. What bliss.”

Please note, however, that you’ll want to get your receipt or payment note uploaded as soon as possible. The offer ends 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on 5/19/19 or when the pot of $50,000 dries up. Also, it will take about six to eight weeks to process the payment, this offer is only available for parents ages 18 and older, and only one receipt per household is allowed.

“Mother’s Day is a day to celebrate Mom in all of her greatness, but we know the holiday doesn’t stop the challenges of motherhood — temper tantrums, sleepless nights and picky eaters,” said Sergio Eleuterio, Head of Marketing for Kraft, in a news release. “With Kraft ‘Mother’s Day Away’ we are giving moms across the country the chance to have what they secretly really want: some time for themselves.”

Mother’s Day spending is expected to total a record high $25 billion this year, according to the National Retail Federation. That’s up from 23.1 billion in 2018, according to the federation’s annual survey.

The NRF spotted newer models of gift-giving, including special outings and gift cards. These Mother’s Day gifts seem to be replacing more traditional celebrations, such as flowers, greeting cards, and jewelry.

Will you be taking Kraft up on their Mother’s Day offer? If so, go ahead and leave a box of mac ‘n cheese for the kids.
