Laura Prepon of “Orange is the New Black” gave birth to her first child, a baby girl, with fiancé Ben Foster, a source tells US Weekly.
Although we don’t know a name yet and the couple haven’t released pictures, it’s safe to assume this baby has already been blessed with excellent eyebrows.
Prepon announced her pregnancy in January, just a few months after E! News confirmed the couple’s engagement. Foster and Prepon have been friends since they were teenagers but only started dating in July of last year.
The couple announced their engagement in October of 2016 and Prepon hinted at an upcoming wedding at the premiere of “The Girl on the Train” but no further details have been forthcoming. For now, Prepon and Foster will focus on becoming new parents… and all the happiness (and occasional headaches!) that accompanies such an event.
Prepon said she loved being pregnant, calling it “amazing” in an interview this past July with US Weekly.
“I’m creating life and it’s so incredible,” Prepon told the magazine. “I’m so ecstatic for this experience, but you go through so many changes. We’ve been in the Pacific Northwest keeping it low-key. I’m a very private person.”
She did, however, spill the beans about her intense pregnancy cravings, and every mom-to-be can likely relate!
“[My dad] was a doctor and when he would have a break we would go to this Jewish deli. We would get this pastrami on rye sandwich with a Dr. Brown’s black cherry soda,” she told US Weekly in the exclusive interview. “What’s so funny is I have not eaten that stuff probably since I was a kid with my dad. So when I got pregnant, all of a sudden I was like, ‘I need a pastrami on rye. I need a Dr. Brown’s black cherry soda. I need mustard and sauerkraut.’ These crazy Jewish deli cravings hit me so hard. Isn’t that funny?”
The pregnancy cravings are over for now, so all that’s left to do is wait for adorable pictures of this family. Congrats, Laura and Ben!
