No poor unfortunate souls here! This is very good news: “Glee” star Lea Michele will play Ariel in a live-action performance of the Disney film “The Little Mermaid.”

On May 17 and 18, you can catch the live rendition at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Calif. The show is in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the iconic Disney film.

Michele teased her fans on Twitter with this cute photo of her be-tailed self getting pumped for big performance. She certainly looks the part, even if her locks aren’t red!

“The Little Mermaid” live-action performance will be filmed, so even if you don’t make it to the show, you can see still Michele kill it as everyone’s favorite aquatic princess.

While she might be playing the role of a lovestruck teenager in “The Little Mermaid,” but in real life she recently got married to clothing company scion Zandy Reich.

So, what about the rest of the “The Little Mermaid” cast? None other than “Hairspray” star Harvey Fierstein will play Ursula the sea witch. Fierstein, who has won several Tony awards, has been considered the perfect performer to take on the part of Ursula for years now. “Little Mermaid” composer Alan Menken himself has said Fierstein would be ideal for the role.

“I’ve wanted Harvey Fierstein to play Ursula,” says Menken. “I would kill for that!” It looks like he didn’t have to go that far!

Other heavyweights rounding out the cast include Cheech Marin from the comedy duo Cheech & Chong as the sadistic Chef Louis; “The O.C.” star Peter Gallagher as King Triton; and Ken Page as Sebastian the crab.

As for the role of Prince Eric, emerging actor Leo Gallo will “kiss the girl.” Gallo made his debut on the Netflix reality show “Westside” and has also appeared on “Black Mirror.”
