Lucky Charms Marshmallow Treats Are Super Festive For St. Patrick’s Day

Brown Eyed Baker

What’s better than Rice Krispies treats? No offense to Rice Krispies but … Lucky Charms treats! Not only are these colorful marshmallow treats fun for all ages, but they’re also easy whip up and especially festive for St. Patrick’s Day.

The recipe comes from the blog Brown Eyed Baker and only calls for three ingredients: Lucky Charms cereal, miniature marshmallows, and butter.

Start by melting the butter and marshmallows together on the stovetop. Reduce the heat to low, add in the Lucky Charms cereal, and stir to combine. Press the mixture into a well-greased baking sheet and allow it to cool for about an hour. Then dig in!

These will store in an airtight container for about four days. Not that you’ll have any leftovers — Lucky Charms treats are too ooey-gooey and delicious for anyone to pass up!

Another recipe from the blog Julie’s Eats and Treats showcases how you can turn up the dial on the “St. Patrick’s Day factor” with some green food coloring. By simply adding some food coloring into the melted marshmallow and butter mixture before stirring in the cereal, you’ll create a leprechaun-approved dessert indeed!

While you’ve got Lucky Charms in your pantry, you can let your creativity run wild with even more St. Patty’s Day-themed recipes. Say, Lucky Charms cookies, anyone? This recipe comes from the blog Half-Scratched and calls for flour, vanilla pudding mix, Lucky Charms marshmallows, and white chocolate chips.

Once they’re fresh out of the oven and ready to be eaten, these cookies will look absolutely amazing:

You can also make the morning of March 17 festive with Lucky Charms pancakes. The recipe from Donuts and Daisies walks you through the steps of using green food coloring to transform average fluffy pancakes into ones that have gotten a St. Patrick’s Day makeover. Stack ’em up and top them with whipped cream and as many Lucky Charms marshmallows as your heart desires.

The kids are sure to love a breakfast like this:
