Lunchables will release Brunchables this spring

Favorite foods we ate as a kid often make us feel nostalgic. I still think about Dunkaroos on occasion — well, a lot. But the sugary cereal is among those items I try to avoid eating today.

One childhood treat I don’t feel bad about eating, however, is Kraft Heinz’s Lunchables. I mean, digging into the classic cracker, meat and cheese kit as a kid was really just our first taste of a charcuterie board, right? While Lunchables have expanded over the years to include other things like pizza, nachos and even some breakfast treats that are no longer available, there is one arena they haven’t ventured into — brunch!

Well, that is, until later this spring. That’s when you will be able to find appropriately-named Brunchables on store shelves nationwide!

Lunchables

Each Brunchables breakfast includes flatbread as a base. Instead of candy or cookies for dessert, you get a blueberry muffin. You’ll find the Brunchables in three flavors, all with Kraft cheddar cheese and either Oscar Mayer bacon, ham or breakfast sausage.

Just like the cracker kits, you simply assemble your meat, cheese and flatbread into a sandwich. Obviously, this will be cold, as it is kept in the fridge. So, if you prefer a warm breakfast sandwich, you’ll either have to warm it up or look elsewhere. But if you’re in need of a quick, on-the-go breakfast or a mid-day snack to get you through work, Brunchables might just be the answer.

Lunchables

If you’re looking for a super grown-up breakfast sandwich instead, this Bacon and Eggers recipe still lets you play with your food like Brunchables but cuts out a lot of the carbs. All you need is hardboiled eggs, cheese and bacon and you’ve got yourself a low-carb, fun breakfast!

Will you be trying the new Brunchables when they hit store shelves this spring?
