It’s almost Christmas, which means it is time to order a pizza, buy a toothbrush and watch “Home Alone,” the classic tale of a young boy left, well, home alone.

For people of a certain age, nothing says the holidays like watching Macaulay Culkin’s Kevin McAllister party without his parents and then booby trap his house to thwart some would-be burglars.

But have you ever found yourself wondering what the movie, which came out in 1990, would look like if it were filmed today? Well, wonder no more:

That’s right, Kevin is back in a new ad by Google for its home assistant. The ad features Culkin, now 38, recreating many of his iconic scenes from “Home Alone” — this time, with a modern twist.

In addition to the obligatory technological advances that the Google Assistant provides, such as the ability to pay for pizza online and adjust the temperature on command, there are a few other notable updates.

A cardboard cutout of Kevin Durant replaces the one of Michael Jordan that Kevin attached to his model train set in the movie. A dummy attached to a Roomba replaces the dummy previously attached to a record player. Finally, adult Kevin’s back doesn’t hold up quite as well after as 9-year-old Kevin’s back.

As you would expect of a commercial that combines the holidays with nostalgia, the ad has gone viral. The video has more than 6 million views already on YouTube, and that’s not even counting social media views. When IMDb is giving you the thumbs-up, you know you did well.

If nothing, it’s good to see a win for Culkin, who has had his ups and downs post-“Home Alone.” So it was nice to see him looking good and apparently enjoying himself on the set of the commercial:

Who knows, maybe this will give his impending Hollywood comeback a boost. Maybe even spark a “Home Alone” reboot?

But until then, you can enjoy “Operation Kevin” all over again, thanks to Google.

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals.
