Madonna Is Going On Tour

Who wants to go?!

Madonna may soon be coming to a city near you.

The seven-time Grammy winner announced on May 6 that she will be going on tour this fall. The tour, named after her upcoming album, “Madame X,” is currently scheduled to make its way to three cities with 16 tour dates.

Her concert promoters announced that more dates in Las Vegas, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, Lisbon, London and Paris will be added.

The tour will kick off at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House in New York on Sept. 12.

The unique part about these concerts is that they will all take place at intimate theaters, such as the Chicago Theatre and The Wiltern in Los Angeles.

Madonna explained her reasoning for choosing theaters as the concert venues in an Instagram post. “I want to have an intimate experience with my fans,” she says in the clip.

The singer announced her new album last month and explained the reasoning for calling it “Madame X.”

“Madame X is a secret agent traveling around the world. Changing identities. Bringing light to dark places. Madame X is a dancer. A professor. A head of state. An equestrian. A prisoner. A student. A mother. A child. A teacher. A nun. A singer. A saint. A wh**e. And a spy in the house of love. I’m Madame X,” she said.

The singer recently dropped a track from the record called “Crave.” The pop single, produced by Mike Dean, is a collaboration with Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee. You can hear Lee jump in on a verse about midway through the track, featured below:

“Crave” is the third song released off “Madame.” Madonna has also previously dropped the inspirational song “I Rise,” as well as the single, “Medellín.”

The latter, which you can hear below, features Colombian singer Maluma.

“Crave” and “Medellin” are two of the multiple collaborative songs on the records, including other songs with Migos’ Quavo and Brazilian singer Anitta.

Of the new record, Madonna said in a statement, per Rolling Stone, “Lisbon is where my record was born. I found my tribe there and a magical world of incredible musicians that reinforced my belief that music across the world is truly all connected and is the soul of the universe.”

Madonna has been teasing the new album for several weeks on her social media accounts, including sharing several pieces of artwork on Twitter, along with taglines for the album.

In one tweet, she shared a photo of her lips, with the words, “Madame X is a storyteller.”

In another, she proclaimed, “Madam X is a muse,” alongside a primarily black and white drawing.

The singer also suggested that the upcoming tour is “only the beginning,” when it comes to the new record.

With the new singles, the upcoming release of the record and the newly announced tour for “Madame X,” it looks like Madonna fans have plenty to look forward to.

For fans, new music from the pop star is a long time coming. “Madame X” will mark Madonna’s first album since 2015’s “Rebel Heart.”
