Some famous parents have said that their kids have no idea what they do for a living or could care less that their mom or dad is a celebrity. That does not seem to be the case with Madonna’s 12-year-old son, David Banda. In celebration of his recent birthday, the singer posted a video to Instagram of her son happily singing along to her 1983 hit “Holiday”:

It’s clear that David knows all the words to his famous mom’s throwback classic, and he seems to really get into it, even taking a break to look into the camera and shimmy along with the beat.

Madonna’s more than 10 million followers found the whole thing utterly adorable and chimed in to express how impressed they were with David’s performance:

“@madonna Omg! He is too cool. Love the expressions on his face. So on point with the beats. He’s got moves like you!” declared one commenter.

“Handsome young man singing momma’s song, celebrate with fun on your special day!!!” said another.

Madonna adopted David from Malawi in 2006. The whole family includes her daughter Lourdes Leon, 20; her son Rocco Ritchie, 16; her adopted daughter, Mercy, 11; and her recently-adopted twin daughters, Estere and Stella, 4.

While it’s yet to be determined if David will take after his mom and go pro with his obvious entertainment skills, daughter Lourdes has certainly followed in Madge’s footsteps.  Last year, the burgeoning fashionista made her modeling debut for Stella McCartney’s campaign for her perfume, Pop.

Proud mama Madonna took to Instagram to post a snap from the shoot and express her support for her daughter:

“I miss this beautiful girl! Looking forward to seeing her very soon!” the singer captioned the photo.

“I go through this struggle myself, [where] women’s bodies have been made so public that everyone feels like they need to comment,” Lourdes told Vogue of the decision to participate in the campaign, which celebrated the idea of individuality. “I love when someone doesn’t pretend to be someone they are not.”

Wherever Madonna’s brood ends up in life, we’re sure they’ll do it in style, just like Mom.
