Make a giant holiday cookie with Duncan Hines mix

Making cookies for the holidays can be a fun tradition, but if you’re not up for rolling your own dough and cutting out shapes, Duncan Hines has the perfect product for you: a Holiday Mega Cookie mix that makes one huge cookie!

The classic sugar cookie mix even comes with a cookie pan, so all you have to do is combine the mix with melted butter and water, and press it in the pan. Once baked, you can decorate it with the included red and green Christmas tree sprinkles.

The massive treat serves 8 to 10 people — or just one or two if you really like cookies! You can find it at retailers nationwide and on Amazon for around $2.50.

Along with the holiday sugar cookie variety, the Mega Cookies also come in other flavors: Chocolate Chunk, Double Chocolate Chunk and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip.

All five flavors can be made in the oven in about 5 minutes or in the microwave in around 2 minutes. While they can be eaten right out of the pan, you could also add frosting, decorations or even whipped cream or ice cream for an even more decadent dessert.

Duncan Hines also has two new products perfect for winter treats: Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa Flavored Boxed Cake Mix and Hot Cocoa Frosting. Both made with rich cocoa, a Duncan Hines representative tells Simplemost the cake mix will cost around $1.99, while the frosting is $2.49.

Although the mix doesn’t come with a cake pan, you can also make a giant cookie out of Betty Crocker chocolate chip cookie mix using the recipe on the Betty Crocker website.

While you can make a simple chocolate cake with the mix and frosting, if you want a treat that showcases the hot cocoa flavor even more, Conagra’s recipe blog, Ready Set Eat, has an adorable recipe for Hot Cocoa Cupcake Mugs.

The cupcake mugs use both the cake mix and frosting and have chocolate chips, mini marshmallows and candy cane pieces on top, plus a miniature candy cane on the side of the cupcake to make a “handle” for the mug.
