Do you find it hard to shop for your significant other? His or her birthday rolls around, and when you ask what he or she wants, you only get a response that gets you nowhere like, “I don’t know” or “I have everything I need.”

Well, one man came up with a pretty clever solution to that problem. Jordan secretly followed his wife, TyAnna’s, Pinterest account for years to get gift inspiration. Why didn’t we think of that?!

It all started when Jordan finally scored a date with TyAnna backed in 2014. He had been trying to convince her to give him a chance for three years when she finally accepted his invitation for a date — on Valentine’s Day, no less.

Talk about pressure! In search of the perfect gift to impress TyAnna, a mutual friend suggested Jordan check out her Pinterest page for ideas. Brilliant!

Although he had never heard of the site before, he decided to give it a try. From there, he found a virtual treasure trove of his now-wife’s interests and style inclinations.

“She’s picky and she likes things that tend to be small [items] or handmade … so I like to get things right the first time,” Jordan told BuzzFeed News.

TyAnna’s Pinterest page has inspired some pretty unique gifts from Jordan over the years, including a sapphire nose ring, lip gloss and earrings.

Until recently, Jordan had been keeping his online sleuthing a secret. But then he shared his winning strategy with the world via Twitter, writing: “I have a secret account that follows my wife’s. She has no clue how I always get her what she wants.”

Needless to say, Twitter was pretty impressed!

One user thought Jordan’s trick made him a superior adult:

Another wanted to know how she could score such a thoughtful guy:

For her part, although she didn’t know that Jordan had secretly been spying on her Pinterest page, TyAnna wasn’t shocked when she found out.

“I thought it was really really sweet, but I wasn’t surprised because Jordan really goes the extra mile to make me happy,” she told BuzzFeed News.
