Mark Wahlberg Goes Shirtless In His Family’s Christmas Card
Since Wahlberg posted the image to Twitter, it's been retweeted 429 times and liked more than 6,300 times.
Mark Wahlberg took a non-traditional approach to dressing for his family’s 2017 Christmas card: He went shirtless. Call it an early Christmas gift to the fans.
The entire Wahlberg clan—including Wahlberg’s wife, Rhea Durham, and their four kids—is pictured in their bathing suits in the holiday greeting, which the Oscar-nominated actor posted to Twitter this week.
In the snapshot, the family appears to be lounging on a boat, having a much more relaxing holiday season than the rest of us:

“Thankful for God’s many blessings,” the card reads. “Best wishes, the Wahlberg family, 2017.”
It’s not your typical shot of the family standing uncomfortably around a Christmas tree, donning their Sunday best, but people don’t seem to mind. Since Wahlberg posted the image to Twitter, it’s been retweeted 429 times and liked more than 6,300 times. Though it’s not clear if those numbers are due to his bare abs or because people are feeling the holiday spirit.
Wahlberg’s physique has earned him plenty of fans since his days as an underwear model for Calvin Klein in the 1990s.
The 46-year-old actor has been obsessed with fitness ever since he spent time in jail as a teenager. In 2010, he told Men’s Fitness that when he got out of jail at 16 years old, “Instead of hanging out on the corner, I’d go to the gym.” Clearly, it’s a move that has paid off.
We think it’s adorable that Wahlberg’s family was so willing to give a wink to his abs’ enduring popularity. Wahlberg and Durham, 39, have been married since 2009 and have been a couple since 2001, according to Us Weekly.
They have four children: Ella, 14, Michael, 11, Brendan, 9, and Grace, 7. Here they are celebrating Wahlberg’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame back in 2010. Clearly they’ve all grown up since then!
They’re grown up so much, in fact, that Ella is at the age where her dad’s had to take her phone away as a punishment. This tidbit came out during an interview Wahlberg did alongside Will Farrell on “The Ellen Show” in September.
The two were on the show to talk about “Daddy’s Home 2” and it came out that Farrell’s son, Magnus, and Wahlberg’s Ella are “in communication” on Instagram. Farrell and Wahlberg come across as exactly the type of dads you’d expect the two actors to be. Watch the clip below:
(Now, mind you, all of them were fully clothed.)
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to share a new photograph of their family. The image features on Their Royal Highnesses' Christmas card this year. The photograph shows The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their two children at Kensington Palace. It was taken earlier this year by @chrisjacksongetty Their Royal Highnesses have also announced this morning that Princess Charlotte will attend the Willcocks Nursery School in London from January 2018. The Willcocks Nursery School has said: "We are delighted that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen the Willcocks Nursery School for Princess Charlotte. We look forward to welcoming Charlotte to our nursery in January."
Wahlberg has already had a big year with “Transformers: The Last Knight” and “Daddy’s Home 2,” which is still in theaters. His next movie, “All the Money in the World,” is set to hit theaters on Christmas. If he doesn’t have any shirtless scenes in that movie, at least you can hang the Wahlberg family Christmas card on your wall.
