McDonald’s Chicken McGriddles Are Coming To Some All-Day Breakfast Menus
Because the original McGriddle isn’t enough for America, McDonald’s will now offer Chicken McGriddles, served all day on their breakfast menu.
The new addition to the McMenu is inspired by chicken and waffles, and will feature the traditional McChicken patty sandwiched between two maple-infused McGriddle cakes. The sandwich clocks in at just under 400 calories, with 15 grams of fat, 14 grams of protein and 1,000 milligrams of sodium (ouch).
If this sounds good to you, then get down to Florida (or southeast Georgia) ASAP, because that’s the only place Chicken McGriddles will be served, and in select restaurants to boot. If you are in the sunshine state, you can snag one until April 26 of this year.
Not planning to visit Florida? Don’t worry—the Chicken McGriddle is technically a “secret menu item.” You can DIY at any location by ordering the traditional Sausage McGriddle with a crispy chicken patty instead.

According to an interview with Space Coast Daily, “Chicken McGriddles have been a not-so-secret secret McDonald’s menu item for a while, and we are thrilled to officially add it to the menu so all guests are aware and can enjoy this great sandwich,” said Sue Martin, a Florida McDonald’s owner and operator.
This wider release of the sandwich follows a limited-time experiment last year at a McDonald’s testing location in Columbus.
This announcement comes on the heels of a prediction that fried chicken for breakfast would be one of the hottest trends of 2017. Looks like that vision is already coming true.
“I’m excited that our customers no longer have to wait for Saturday or Sunday to enjoy brunch in northeast Florida or southeast Georgia—now, they can enjoy the taste of chicken and waffles, on-the-go, all day, every day,” local McDonald’s owner and operator Will Garcia said in a press release.
