‘Mean Girls’ Toaster Strudel is here to make your morning totally ‘fetch’

It’s been 16 years since Regina George proved herself to be the meanest of “Mean Girls,” but the movie has remained a cult classic over time. Loaded with meme-worthy quotes, the relatable comedic film has even been turned into a Broadway musical.

Now, Pillsbury has announced two “Mean Girls”-inspired flavors of the tasty breakfast pastry, which is only fitting since Gretchen’s father invented Toaster Strudels!

The two limited-edition flavors are cream cheese strawberry and strawberry, and they both include pink frosting, which you can enjoy even when it’s not Wednesday.

If that’s not enough to sate your appetite for all things “Mean Girls,” you can also stream the movie for free with a code on specially-marked packages.

What’s more, you can enter the Fetch Sweepstakes for a chance to win a personalized video from Lacey Chabert, aka Gretchen Wieners.

As noted in this tweet from the Toaster Strudel Twitter account, all you have to do to enter is “take a photo of your most fetch pink icing design and post it with #FetchSweepstakes.” (Complete sweepstakes rules are available here.)

So far, fans on social media are loving the “Mean Girls”-Toaster Strudel collaboration.

“Whomever came up with this idea is genius,” posted Dani Hannah-Brown on Facebook. “Should’ve did it years ago, but still. You go Gretchen Wieners!”

Meanwhile, the Twitterverse is buzzing with excitement for the pink-iced breakfast treats.

“Oh my god they’re making Mean Girls Toaster Strudel and they come with pink frosting and I’ve never needed anything more,” tweeted @energist.

Twitter user @JasonAlanKirk agreed that this is a need, not a want. “I’d totally write #fetch on my #MeanGirls toaster strudel too,” they tweeted.

If you want to buy these for your kids because you’re not a regular mom, you’re a cool mom, check the frozen foods section of your favorite grocery store. And as noted, these are limited-edition items, so don’t wait too long if you’re hoping to grab some.
