Meghan Markle Looks Stunning In Sunny Yellow Dress

While Meghan Markle has been wearing a lot of blush pink tones lately, she mixed things up a bit while attending an event with young leaders from around the Commonwealth. She and Prince Harry looked amazing as always, but Markle’s dress was noticeably different from the other pieces in her wardrobe for one reason: It was bright yellow.

The cheerful color couldn’t have been more perfect for the summer season. While the color was bold, the silhouette was A-line and simple —in keeping with Markle’s classy royal style.

Yellow is a welcome change from the neutral tones Markle’s been wearing since officially becoming the Duchess of Sussex, if you ask us!

Considering this was an outdoor summer affair, she couldn’t have looked more fitting for the occasion:

Markle looked radiant while talking with young leaders. Promoting youth to succeed is definitely something the couple is passionate about. She has been known to promote the dreams of children, as she reportedly told one 10-year-old girl that she could do anything.

“Meghan told me that I can achieve whatever I want to achieve. And Meghan said she would like to see me on TV when I become an actress,” the girl, Sophia Richards, told People magazine after meeting Markle briefly.

By the looks of it, Markle feels very much at home talking with young women making changes in the Commonwealth:

What does a yellow dress mean?

According to design firm Bourn Creative, yellow can symbolize happiness, positivity, energy, warmth and optimism.

The dress was designed by American designer Brandon Maxwell, according to InStyle. It has a bateau neckline and a midi-length, meaning it falls below the knees. Given its bold color, Markle chose to keep her accessories — nude pumps — simple and understated. Good call!

Her hair was swept back into one of those effortless buns she’s become known for and as usual, she kept her makeup natural-looking and super-simple:

Since having a major “wow!” moment with her royal wedding dress, Markle’s been seen sporting mostly blush pink tones or neutrals such as white and beige.

She wore a blush-colored dress to Prince Charles’ birthday celebration just days after saying “I do”:

She also wore an off-the-shoulder light pink dress to the Trooping the Colour:

Just one month after the royal wedding, she wore a white dress:

And to accompany Queen Elizabeth II on an outing, she wore a simple yet chic cream-colored look:

So, this is definitely one of Markle’s most daring looks to date in terms of color. As far as her style is concerned, she seems to be settling into the royal ways quite well.

What do you think of this brightly-colored break from the royal’s routine? We can’t wait to see what she’ll wear next!
