Michelle Williams Is Engaged To Financier Andrew Youmans
Congratulations to the happy couple!
Actress Michelle Williams has kept her love life private after the passing of her former partner and father of her daughter, Heath Ledger. But it’s been hard for Williams to hide the gorgeous ring on her finger as of late! The Academy Award-nominated actress is reportedly engaged to financier Andrew Youmans, sources told US Weekly.
Williams and Youmans have been spotted together on a few rare occasions — enough to get the relationship rumors swirling. When she showed up to this year’s Golden Globe Awards sporting a diamond ring, well, people began to think congratulations were in order.
When asked about the ring on the red carpet the actress told People magazine it was just a piece of “beautiful jewelry.” But considering she was also spotted wearing that “beautiful jewelry” on a beach recently, we have a feeling it’s a bit more than she’s letting on.
It’s been 10 years since Ledger’s passing due to accidental overdose. Her past relationships have included director Spike Jonze, “How I Met Your Mother” actor Jason Segel and writer Jonathan Safran Foer.
Williams has also been focused on raising her and Ledger’s now-12-year-old daughter, Matilda. The working mom has not afraid to admit that raising a child on her own hasn’t always been easy.
“In all honesty, for pretty much everything else, I feel like I’m a believer in not fighting circumstances, accepting where you are and where you’ve been,” Williams told Porter magazine. “In pretty much all senses but one. I would be able to go totally down that line of thinking were it not for Matilda not having her dad. You know that’s just something that doesn’t… I mean, it just won’t ever be right.”
She takes pride in the moments that she and her daughter aren’t just surviving, but they’re truly happy.
“I watched (Matilda) warm in the sun, in her swimsuit, get on her bicycle and smile and wave as she rode off to go meet her friends,” she recalled to the magazine. “I went back into the house and sobbed because of this incredibly simple moment — common everyday happiness. I really felt like in that moment, like wow, we’ve done it. Not only are we OK — she’s happy.”
Perhaps now Williams has found happiness with Youmans, and we sincerely wish the couple all the best!
