Disney Fans: Mickey Mouse Oreos Are Coming Soon For A Limited Time
And they're reportedly birthday-cake flavored!!
Let’s face it, some things in this world simply just go together. Peanut butter and jelly, wine and cheese, bacon and eggs … Oreos and Mickey Mouse.
That’s right — after already giving us chocolate chip cookie, blueberry pie and even Peeps-flavored Oreos, Nabisco is at it again. The snack food company is debuting six all-new cookie flavors, including one that Disney’s main mouse helped create.
Revealed at this year’s Sweets & Snack Expo (aka the place I want to go the most in my life), Nabisco gave fans a sneak peak at the new Oreo flavors it will be releasing this year. Reportedly included in the list are limited-edition Mickey Mouse Birthday Cake Oreos.
While Oreo has not revealed a release date for the Mickey Mouse cookie, we do know Mickey’s birthday is November 18 and this year is Mickey’s 90th birthday. So perhaps his celebratory cookies will be on shelves sometime in the fall.
The other new flavors being released this year are Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake Oreos, Rocky Road Trip Oreos, Peppermint Bark Oreos, Pistachio Oreos Thins and Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie Oreos.
The junk food-loving Instagram account Junk Banter reports that the strawberry shortcake flavor is now available at Target and Walmart stores around the country:
Meanwhile, you can try the rocky road flavor, made with marshmallow bits and soy nut pieces, sometime “later in summer.”
The peppermint bark flavor will likely be out sometime around the holidays, as it is the unofficial start of peppermint season — at least for me. (I’m not ashamed to admit I already dip my Oreos in melted peppermint bark each Christmas, so I’ll go ahead and say it right now that these will definitely be in my shopping cart and will for sure be coated in melted chocolate and peppermint pieces immediately!)
As for the other new Oreos, Junk Banter got to sample the chocolate peanut butter pie and pistachio flavors, giving them both good reviews. The pie tastes more of peanut butter than chocolate, according to their review, while the “pistachio creme is incredible.”
There are so many new Oreos to choose from! Which new flavor are you most excited to try?
