Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis played the adorable on-again-off-again couple, Kelso and Jackie, on “That ’70s Show” from 1998 to 2006. While the two certainly had great on-screen chemistry, it would take many more years before they found their real-life happy ending together.

On a recent episode of the podcast “WTF with Marc Maron,” Kunis opened up about how the pair finally realized they were meant to be. (“WTF with Marc Maron” is produced by Midroll, which is owned by E.W. Scripps, the same parent company of this site.)

When they both found themselves single following the breakup of long-term relationships (Kunis with boyfriend Macaulay Culkin and Kutcher with wife Demi Moore), they decided to embark on a casual relationship, never expecting to fall in love.

“I did a movie called ‘Friends with Benefits.’ He did a movie that was very similar called ‘No Strings Attached.’ We lived our movies out,” Kunis explained to host Marc Maron. “We were just like, let’s just hook up. Let’s have fun. We’re both single. We both trust each other. Everything’s great.”

They were both seeing other people, but when Kunis found herself feeling jealous, she realized she had to end the arrangement before she got hurt. Although it pained her, Kunis told Kutcher that they had to end things. What happened next rivals any dramatic declaration of love found in a Hollywood movie.

The morning after Kunis broke it off with Kutcher, he showed up at her house and suggested they move in together. Although Kunis thought he needed more time to heal after his divorce, Kutcher told her he was afraid of losing her. The pair wed in 2015 and they now have two children together: 3-year-old daughter, Wyatt, and 1-year-old son, Dimitri.

Although it took nearly two decades for them to find their happily ever after, Kunis says she has no regrets.

“We would have never been together if we didn’t both go through what we went through in order to be the people that we were when we met,” she said.

How sweet! Here’s too many more of years of happiness for this adorable couple!
