This Mom Discovered A Genius And Cheap Way To Store Her Coffee Pods

Gina Baynham

Like most moms, when I wake up in the morning, the first thing I need is my daily caffeine fix. However, if you use a coffee pod machine like the Keurig or the Mixpresso, then you have no doubt struggled with the eternal question of: “How the heck do I store all these coffee pods!?”

When I first got my Keurig, I used a spinning carousel such as this one on Amazon, and it worked well … except I inevitably would wind up with pods sitting all over the counter as the display could only hold 28 at a time.

(Although I will say, it did end up being the perfect way to distract my kids while I was busy in the kitchen, as they loved spinning it and putting the pods in and out of the holders. Until that infamous day when I saw that one of them had chewed through one of the pods. A 1-year-old on a caffeine buzz? No, thank you!)

Luckily, Gina Baynhma, a clever mama in Australia, has resolved the eternal dilemma over how to store K-cups effectively with this simple (and super-cheap) hack. The tip first originated on the Facebook group Moms Who Organise, and it didn’t take long before the awesome idea went viral.

All you need is some PVC strips, which can be found at places like Home Depot or Lowe’s. They are inexpensive and widely available, and this hack is easy to accomplish, even if you don’t know a monkey wrench from a screwdriver. Whether you want to apply them to the top of the cabinets above your coffee pod machine or in the pantry, the grooves of the strips conveniently are the perfect size to fit the rim of a coffee pod.
