More women are choosing sneakers over high heels—here are 5 pairs to shop now

Adidas

You may have noticed more and more sneakers are popping up on your Instagram feed. You’re not imagining things. It’s becoming apparent that the athleisure trend is here to stay — and there are numbers to prove it.

According to thredUP, a company that accepts donations of clothing and resells it online, their recent data shows a 38 percent increase in women ditching their heels and donating them in the last three months. And what’s taking the place of heels in women’s closets? None other than — sneakers! The company saw sneaker sales increase by 46 percent.

In case you’re looking to get in on the trend and get some comfortable shoes on your feet, too, we’ve rounded up some of the cutest (and most affordable) sneakers around so you can finally shop shoes that suit your busy lifestyle. Because seriously — who needs heels when there’s versatile, won’t-kill-your-feet options out there, instead?

1. Nike Tanjun

This sneaker is bound to make your every day more effortless. Its neutral color pair well with everything, and its sleek design won’t weigh you down. No bulky tennis shoes here, please! Plus, they retail for $65 typically, but they were on sale for just $48.97 at the time of publication.
