Mr. Coffee now sells an iced coffee maker

Mr. Coffee

If you’re like me, you don’t think there’s an “iced coffee season.” That doesn’t mean I don’t love iced coffee — quite the opposite.

It means, in fact, that I will happily sip an iced coffee year-round, even in the frigid chill of winter. If you too are an iced coffee aficionado, you may want to take a look at this new iced coffee maker from Mr. Coffee so you can enjoy the beverage at home whenever you want — including when you’re snowed in.

The Mr. Coffee Iced Coffeemaker brews your favorite iced coffee in less than four minutes, using new a technology called RapidChill Brewing. Mr. Coffee says this ensures all the best flavors are retained and the iced coffee is always bold and flavorful, not watered down.

To use it, you just have to add water and any brand of coffee grounds to the machine, put ice in a tumbler and hit the brew button. You can then customize your drink with your favorite flavorings, creams or milks.

The instant, electric machine itself weighs just four pounds and measures 14.5 inches tall, so it won’t take up too much counter space.

The product originally retailed for $29.99 at Target, though they seem to be nearly sold out online and in stores. Ebay has some (new) for $62.99 and Amazon currently has it for $104.99 if you’re willing to pay a premium

Aside from the benefit of not having to leave your house to get your iced coffee fix, Mr. Coffee says the machine will save you money. It will cost around 37 cents per day to make a coffee with the machine, which is quite the savings when compared to ordering a pre-made coffee.

While this is the first iced coffee maker from Mr. Coffee, it is not the first one on the market.

You can also get this Brentwood iced tea and coffee maker with a 64-ounce pitcher for $40 on Amazon.

If you’re looking for something that also makes hot coffee and other beverages, Keurig’s K-Elite machine is the first Keurig with an actual button specifically for iced coffee.

And if you prefer the lower acidity of a cold-brewed coffee, you can also purchase a cold-brew coffee maker instead. This Takeya cold brew iced coffee maker is just $15.99 on Amazon and allows you to make 32 ounces of coffee at a time.

Are you an iced coffee lover or do you prefer a warm cup of joe in the morning?
